چکیده

A nanocapacitor with ultra high capacitance (718 ± 0.2 pF) has been fabricated using electro-deposited Au nanowires manipulated between two Au microelectrodes by the dielectrophoresis technique. A high dc resistance value (∼100 M ) and nonlinear current–voltage characteristics indicate the formation of a dielectric interface between the nanowires. From frequency dependent conductivity, it is seen that the interface exhibits a giant dielectric permittivity (ε ∼ 1.8 × 107), which shows no frequency dispersion over the range from 30 Hz to 1 MHz. The enhancement of this permittivity value is attributed to the formation of a disordered interface containing gold atoms disrupted from the surface of the Au nanowires.

Boron nitride-graphene nanocapacitor and the origins of anomalous size-dependent increase of capacitance.

Conventional wisdom suggests that decreasing dimensions of dielectric materials (e.g., thickness of a film) should yield increasing capacitance. However, the quantum capacitance and the so-called "dead-layer" effect often conspire to decrease the capacitance of extremely small nanostructures, which is in sharp contrast to what is expected from classical electrostatics. Very recently, first-prin...

Dielectric characteristic of nanocrystalline Na0.5K0.5NbO3 ceramic green body

Dielectric spectroscopy was applied to porous nanocrystalline Na0.5K0.5NbO3 (NKN) ceramic green body, wherein influences of percolation effect and water adsorption at pore surface of the ceramic green body on dielectric response were examined over wide temperature (150 to 450 K) and frequency (100 Hz to 1 MHz) ranges. Dielectric permittivity of the ceramic green body is about 2–3 orders of magn...

An Explanation of the Photoinduced Giant Dielectric Constant of Lead Halide Perovskite Solar Cells.

A photoinduced giant dielectric constant of ~10(6) has been found in impedance spectroscopy measurements of lead halide perovskite solar cells. We report similar effects in measurements of a porous lead zirconate titanate (PZT) sample saturated with water. The principal effect of the illumination of the solar cell and of the introduction of water into the pore volume of the PZT sample is a sign...

Dielectric and Thermodynamic Properties of 2, 3-Butanediol + 2-ethyl-1-hexanol Mixtures

Experimental results of dielectric investigations for binary mixtures of 2, 3-butanediol, 2, 3-BD, in2-ethyl-1-hexanol, 2EH, were reported for various mole fractions and temperatures (298.2-308.2) Kand they were used to calculate dielectric parameters such as Kirkwood correlation factor, excesspermittivity and Bruggeman parameter. These parameters were used to carry out temperaturedependent die...

Polarons, free charge localisation and effective dielectric permittivity in oxides

This review will deal with several types of free charge localisation in oxides and their consequences on the effective dielectric spectra of such materials. The first one is the polaronic localisation at the unit cell scale on residual impurities in ferroelectric networks. The second one is the collective localisation of free charge at macroscopic interfaces like surfaces, electrodes and grain ...
